ProdexNet, headquartered in the Silicon Valley,
today announced integrated support for Ciscoworks2000, Quest
i/Watch and HP Service Reporter into NetGather 1.5. NetGather
is the industry's first enterprise solution that focuses on
providing Business Impact Analysis of the IT infrastructure.
It leverages existing Management solutions within the infrastructure
to determine how the infrastructure affects various business
processes. NetGather now integrates and reports out of Ciscoworks2000,
Qwest i/Watch and HP Service Reporter.
"To be able to get an intelligent assessment
of your IT productivity and services, you need proper access
to data that can give you an end-to-end view of your infrastructure,"
says Sujatha Bodapati, Vice President of ProdexNet. "Our
core value is to be able to integrate all the management tools
within the infrastructure to provide accurate business impact
analysis. All this is accomplished from a single web-based
pane of glass."
NetGather is specifically targeted at users
who deploy two or more best-of-breed solutions to manage their
heterogeneous infrastructure, and now want an easy way to
correlate and use the data from these disparate databases
to gain insight into their infrastructure.
NetGather also provides you multi-dimensional
views of any entity - customer, service, application or device.
These dimensions include uptime, performance, trending, events,
helpdesk, inventory and other classes of operational data
within the infrastructure.
"NetGather allows you to view your operational environment
in terms of services and customers instead of individual devices,"
says Calvin Miles, NOC manager of Wingcast. "This was
really handy for us because we could get uptime views where
a 'service' is a collection of many different routers, switches,
servers, etc. There are a lot of other views as well, but
this one alone sold us on the product!"
